Handshake is an online platform that provides Stanford students with opportunitiesand connections related to their career aspirations and interests. Employers also access Handshake to post positions, create events, and connect with students. Use this platform for coaching appointments, job and internship searches, and finding career events that interest you.

Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM)

We offer the Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM) platform to make it easier to reach out to alumni for career conversations. SAM is a database of over 5,000 alumni from a wide-range of identities, backgrounds, and industries – all of whom have volunteered to help you. These alumni are eager to pass on what they have learned to you and are happy to engage in career conversations no matter where you are in your career journey.

Meaningful Work Kit

The Meaningful Work Kit can help you identify and prioritize what is most important to you at your core, work cultures that are a fit for you, and skills you enjoy using. You can schedule an appointment with a career coach to do the card sort activity or you can take this assessment by participating in the monthly Meaningful Work Insights program. To participate in a program, please register through Handshake

Integrative Learning Portfolio Lab (ILPL)

The Integrative Learning Portfolio Lab (ILPL) helps students and alums design their digital presence and ePortfolios via workshops, courses, meetings with career coaches,and more. In self-paced programs, you’ll learn the skills companies look for in new hires BEFORE they hire you. Stanford Undergraduate Research Opportunities

Many Stanford departments and programs sponsor an undergraduate research program that provides financial support for students to work with Stanford professors on faculty-designed research projects.  Programs generally take place over the summer, but many support research during the regular academic year as well.
