Fall Career Fair - Office Closure

The CareerEd office will be closed on Thursday, October 10 for the Fall On-Campus Career Fair at Canfield Court from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm. We will resume normal business hours on Friday, October 11.

Faculty Job Search Toolkit

We have compiled a comprehensive set of resources to help you navigate the faculty search into the Faculty Job Search Toolkit, hosted on Canvas. The toolkit is organized into 14 modules that cover everything from how to find open positions to how to negotiate offers. Each module includes worksheets, videos, and written resources, and you’ll also be able to access sample written materials from Stanford PhDs and postdocs who have secured faculty job.

SGSI: Jumpstart Your Academic Job Search

Offered each summer as part of the Stanford Graduate Summer Institute (SGSI), Jumpstart Your Academic Job Search is an intensive, week-long program that prepares students and postdocs for the faculty job market. In community with participants from across the University, you will work on both written and oral parts of your job search preparation.

For PhDs and postdocs from all disciplines who are considering a faculty career of any type and at any of a broad range of institutions. This spring quarter course guides participants through an exploration of the academic career and prepares them to launch their academic job search.
