CareerEd is excited to offer Stanford students high-quality photos using the Iris Air Photo Booth. Come to our center to take headshots for free!
Photo Booth User Guide
- Visit the Stanford Career Education office (2nd floor, 563 Salvatierra Walk). The booth is open from 10 am - 3:30 pm on Monday through Friday.
- You can scan the QR code on the screen to control the booth with your phone.
- To take and edit your photos, follow the on-screen directions.
- You MUST select the 3-second or 6-second timer to take each picture.
- Your photos are immediately emailed to you for downloading and editing.
- Use your photo on your Handshake, LinkedIn, or digital portfolios.

If you have questions about the device or your photos, please go to the third floor and ask to speak to an ERO staff member or email recruiting@stanford.edu (we will respond within 48 hours).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to make an appointment?
- The photo booth is self-service and first-come first-served. There is no need for Stanford students or alumni to make an appointment. You can stop by the Stanford Student Services Building (2nd floor, 563 Salvatierra Walk) on Monday through Friday between 10am to 3:30pm and use the booth at your convenience.
What is the cost?
- Headshots are free to Stanford students and alumni.
How many photos do I get per session?
- Each session includes 3 photos, but there is no limit to retaking pictures during the session. You can also use the photo booth anytime during the quarter or year. Please be courteous if there is a line by limiting retakes and editing your photos at home via your email.
Can I edit the photos?
- Each session provides the opportunity to do some limited retouching. You can also edit your headshot(s) from your account at home after completing the session. Editing options include teeth whitening, blemish removal, skin softening, filters, etc. You will also have the option to retake your photos during the session if you would like.
What if I need assistance?
- The photo booth is self-service and wheelchair accessible. You can scan the QR code on the screen to control the booth with your phone. If you need assistance or accommodation to schedule or use the photo booth, please contact recruiting@stanford.edu.
