Assessments are helpful tools for clarifying your interests and skills, developing a vocabulary to describe yourself as a professional, and establishing a starting point for career exploration. If you are interested in one or more of the assessments below, please make a 15, 30, or 45 minute appointment with a career coach to determine which assessment(s) would be a good fit for you. After completing your assessment, schedule a 45 minute Assessment Appointment to discuss your results.
The CliftonStrengths helps you identify your top talents – how you naturally think, feel and behave. The assessment generates a list of your top five talent themes, along with action items for development and suggestions on how you can use your talents to achieve academic, career, and personal satisfaction.
Myer-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI)
The MBTI provides insight into your personality preferences in 4 areas, and how these preferences influence your approach to work and your interaction with others. Understanding your preferences and those of others, can be helpful in making decisions, working on a team, and communicating across differences. Through taking the assessment you will gain an understanding and appreciation of what makes you and others unique in your approach to career and life.
Strong Interest Inventory
The Strong Interest Inventory is an assessment that helps you understand your interests in six areas: realistic, artistic, investigative, social, enterprising, and conventional (referred to as RIASEC), and how your interests align with potential educational, career, and leisure activities. Considering your interests when choosing roles and work environments, can lead to greater career satisfaction.
Meaningful Work Kit
The Meaningful Work Kit can help you identify and prioritize what is most important to you at your core, work cultures that are a fit for you, and skills you enjoy using. The kit is a practical tool that gives you concrete and valuable insights. You can schedule a 45-minute appointment with a career coach to do the card sort activity during an appointment.
