Alumni Offerings & Resources
Make an appointment with a career coach to discuss your career-related questions. The conversation might include what you might want to do next in your career, transitioning to other work areas, developing your job search materials, strategizing your career path, or developing professionally. There are many other topics you might want to discuss and we are here to help you navigate your transition. In addition, we offer career assessments for PlusFive alumni.
Stanford alumni are eager to assist you in your career journey. Whether you seek insights into specific industries, roles, or the path to graduate school, connecting with fellow alumni is a great way to broaden your network. Search the Stanford Alumni Directory for alums open to offering career support, or join the Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM) program for guidance from experienced mentors or to offer advice to current students.
Explore Stanford Alumni Association Career Connections for More Ways to Connect
We provide curated resources to help you explore careers, prepare for the job search, connect with employers, and access job opportunities. Most of these resources are available to recent alumni as well as current students.
Alumni are welcome to attend all CareerEd career fairs, which are held quarterly during the academic year. Many CareerEd workshops are also open to alumni. Check the events section of Handshake for the following workshops: Meaningful Work Kit Insight Sessions, Leveraging LinkedIn, and Interview workshops. You can also search for workshops open to PhD alumni by searching the keyword "PhD." The Stanford Alumni Association offers events to learn from and network with other alumni.
Stanford Academic Advising offers resources and pre-professional advising for alumni from Stanford undergraduate programs applying to graduate schools. This includes Law, Business, and Medical schools. If you are from Stanford School of Humanities & Sciences, check out the Guide on Getting into Grad School. While CareerEd does not offer advising on getting into graduate schools, we are glad to help promote these Stanford offerings for alumni.
In addition to the career coaches at Stanford Career Education, PlusFive alumni can make appointments with a Cardinal Careers advisor from the Haas Center for Public Service. Each of the Stanford professional schools offers career services for their alumni. Connect with your school’s career center to learn more: Schools of Business, Education, Law, and Medicine. Mind Over Money offers financial coaching and resources for alumni.
