Amy Brierley
Tell us something interesting about your background.
During my 11 years at CareerEd, I have worked on six teams and lived in eight different offices! I've been a member of six coaching teams, our marketing team and our Stanford Alumni Mentoring (SAM) program team. Needless to say, I enjoy variety, taking on challenges, learning new things, and developing my skillset. Not only do I appreciate working at CareerEd, but I also thoroughly enjoy working with the Stanford community. Prior to working at CareerEd, I worked at the Stanford Alumni Association for three years. It was been a fun 14-year Stanford adventure.
What has led you to your current role?
A year and a half ago when working as a CareerEd coach, I volunteered to oversee our weekly student email newsletter, and a love for marketing and design was born. After nine years in a coaching role, I transitioned to the CareerEd Marketing and Communications Specialist position. Communicating the wide-range of CareerEd's programs and resources to our students and collaborating with my fantastic manager and mentor is a joy for me.
In your spare time, what do you enjoy doing?
Hiking with friends! It not only gets me out in nature which I love, but it also affords me the opportunity to have meaningful conversations with the people I am fortunate to know. I also love travel, reading, arts & crafts, and spending time with family, friends, and my doggie, Sadie.
