Welcome to the Career Catalysts team of Stanford Career Education. Our team provides student support in the following areas: Diversity, Equity and Inclusion; Experiential Learning; and Frosh/Soph Initiatives.

Belonging, Access, and Career Equity

We work at the intersection of identity and career development to ensure that students from all backgrounds and experiences (seen and unseen) feel heard and supported as they take the next steps in their career journey. 

Communities include but are not limited to

Asian Pacific Islander Desi American (APIDA), Black, Students with a Disability or Learning Difference, First Generation and/or Low-Income (FLI), International, Latinx, LGBTQIA, Native American, Veteran, Women, and Communities of Faith

Programs include but are not limited to

  • Identity-specific career programs, mixers, and panels
  • Diversity drop-in hours via Zoom and Slack
  • 1:1 career coaching appointments

Experiential Learning

Stanford Career Education is committed to helping students develop practical knowledge and skills by applying their academic learning to real world opportunities such as internships, externships, projects, volunteerism, civic engagement, and other creative and professional work experiences. We strive to ensure all students have equal access to these opportunities, which include providing funding for unpaid internships and utilizing the Stanford alumni network.

Frosh/Soph

Stanford Career Education helps frosh and sophomores identify exciting opportunities for growth and navigate the unique career challenges students may encounter in their first and second years. We support students and student development through our specific programming to orient frosh and sophomores through engaging with our dedicated coaching team. Whether students are exploring their career purpose and interests, creating a resume, searching for an opportunity, or building their professional net­work, our dedicated career coaches are there to support them.
